Frequently Asked Questions

Where may I purchase tickets?

Tickets may purchased online at www.stchristopherschatham.org/housetour through Wednesday October 3rd. (Note that tickets cost $5 more when purchased the day of the event)

Tickets may also be purchased at the following locations as of August 15th:

  • Christopher’s Gift & Consignment Shop (637c Main Street, behind the Chatham Orpheum)
  • Puritan Cape Cod (573 Main Street in Chatham, cash and check only)

Please note that tickets will not be sold at the individual tour homes on the day of the event. They will be sold at St. Christopher’s Church on Main Street Chatham on October 6th beginning 8 am–1 pm.

Where and when do I pick up the tickets with the map of the homes?
  • If you purchase your tickets at the consignment shop or Puritan Cape Cod, you will receive your ticket with the map of the homes at that time.
  • If you purchase online, you may pick up tickets with the map of the homes beginning Tuesday, October 2 at St. Christopher’s Church reception desk from 10 am–4 pm. Bring your payment receipt to be able to pick up your ticket.
What is the tour route?

The tour will feature five private homes located within Chatham. The homes are located in different areas of Chatham such as Shore Road, on Pleasant Bay and Nantucket Sound. You may visit the homes in any order that you wish.

Is there transportation provided?

There is no transportation provided, but the homes are within a 5 mile radius in Chatham. There will be volunteers at each home to direct you. Given parking is limited at the homes, it is recommended to carpool. Wear comfortable flat walking shoes and please, no high heels!

What if it rains?

The tour will happen rain or shine, but hopefully the weather will cooperate with us!

How much time does it take to complete the tour?

However long you would like, it’s up to you. Many visitors arrive to begin the tour at 10 a.m., enjoy lunch at one of the Chatham restaurants and then finish the tour by early afternoon. Others might start later and take advantage of shorter lines during lunch time. Late afternoon is typically less crowded.

Where should I park?

If you need to pick up your ticket with map the day of the tour, there is ample parking available behind St. Christopher’s Church and the Orpheum Theater in the municipal parking lot.

At the individual homes, there will be volunteers to help direct you. Given the limited parking at individual homes, it is recommended to carpool with your friends!

May I bring my children?

This tour is not appropriate for children.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are not refundable. We thank you for your support of St. Christopher’s and the community ministries supported by it.

Is photography allowed?

Photographs are not permitted inside homes.

Is this a fundraiser?

Yes, St. Christopher’s Church located on Main Street, Chatham is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. After expenses are met, 100% of the proceeds from the tour are used in support of key community programs and services provided by St. Christopher’s. Examples include support of the Lower Cape Outreach Council, the Food Pantry serving local families in need, Friends with Wheels providing needed transportation to medical appointments, and the youth and music programs.
